Building Bright MindsThrough Fun and Educational Activities
At Bright Futures Early Scholars Academy in Middletown, DE, we offer a diverse array of enriching programs and activities designed to nurture and inspire young minds. Our before and after school care options provide a safe and welcoming environment for children to engage in fun and educational experiences. From interactive arts and crafts to outdoor exploration, our tailored programs cater to each child’s developmental stage and interests.
Education Curriculum
Infants
Our infant curriculum is thoughtfully designed with the R.I.E Philosophy in mind, allowing us to respond to each child’s individual needs in a warm, respectful, and sensitive manner. We understand the importance of promoting secure attachment, and our caring and dedicated staff prioritize creating loving and nurturing environments for our youngest learners.
Toddlers & Young Preschoolers
Our creative curriculum, based on extensive research, encourages exploration and discovery as essential learning tools. By embracing these principles, we provide our little learners with opportunities to develop critical thinking skills that will serve them throughout their lives. From hands-on activities to imaginative play, our curriculum sparks curiosity and nurtures the natural talents of each child.
Preschool & Pre-Kindergarten
Our Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten curriculum revolves around the enriching principles of core knowledge. This comprehensive and content-rich learning approach is enhanced by teacher guides, activity books, and other resources that cater to Language Arts, History, and Geography. In addition to core knowledge, we incorporate Saxon Math and Saxon Phonics to provide a well-rounded educational experience for our young learners.
School Age
Throughout the school year, we weave in creative themes that cater to the diverse learning styles of the children in our care, ensuring that each child feels engaged and inspired. In addition to our thematic approach, we offer valuable homework help after school, fostering a supportive environment where children can continue to grow and flourish academically.
Computer Lab Learning
We provide weekly access to our computer lab for our Preschool, pre-K, and school-age students. During these sessions, children have the valuable opportunity to explore and navigate educational programs, enhancing their technological literacy. We believe in equipping our students with the skills they need to confidently navigate digital platforms while fostering a love for learning in a technology-rich environment.
Foreign Language Education
Our foreign language program introduces children to the basics of Spanish, including common vocabulary words and cultural diversity. Research suggests that the optimal time for a child to learn a second language is during their early years, which is why we start teaching simple Spanish concepts such as colors and numbers.
As the program progresses, children expand their knowledge to include days of the week, simple phrases, and more. Our parents often delight in hearing their child spontaneously speak Spanish, showcasing the impact of our immersive language learning approach.
Music Classes
Music plays a central role in our daily activities, as children enthusiastically explore various music styles from around the world. In addition to using CDs, we incorporate the renowned “Kindermusik” program, which spans over eight weeks and introduces children to patterns, rhymes, and following directions. Through this musical journey, children not only develop a love for music but also enhance their cognitive and language skills in a fun and engaging way.

Indoor Play
At our facility, we understand that children should never feel confined to their classrooms, especially on rainy or snowy days. That’s why we have an indoor playroom where children can let loose, run around, and have fun. This play area serves as an extension of our classrooms, offering opportunities for children to jump into the ball pit and tumble on safe foam mats. To ensure an organized and enjoyable experience, each classroom has its own scheduled time to play, ensuring that there is no interference from other classes.
Sport Spectacular With Overtime Athletics Delaware
Bright Futures, Inc.’s new Sport Spectacular after-school program is designed to provide fun and engaging athletic activities for students from Preschool through Pre-Kindergarten. Through Overtime Athletics’ unique curriculum, instructors will teach fundamental skills in a supportive and sportsmanlike environment. All instructors are extensively trained to ensure that each participant has a positive and enjoyable experience while learning new skills.
Outdoor Play
We prioritize outdoor play as an essential component of children’s physical and social growth. Weather permitting, all children have the opportunity to enjoy the fresh air and engage in outdoor activities at least twice a day. Our expansive playgrounds provide ample space for children to run, climb, and explore.
To ensure a safe and age-appropriate experience, our play areas are divided into sections for younger and older children. Additionally, each classroom has its designated time for outdoor play, preventing overlaps and ensuring that each group can enjoy their playtime without interference.
